A FALL IN BRICKS.

Per Press Association. IsvEiiCAEaiLL, July 14.

A sensation was caused in town about noon on Saturday by the news that a scaffolding on a wall of a new brick building where men were working had collapsed. It was subsequently discovered that the wood work of the scaffolding gave way and brought down a quantity of newly laid bricks. Three men named James Carruthers, Frederick Lawton and Stanley Mitchell were working on the scaffolding and fell about 30 feet to the ground. All were more or less badly shaken, but Lawton was the only ono that could not make his way home. He was attended to by a doctor. Five men were mixing mortar below* but all got clear except Richard Morgan and Stanley Mitchell. Morgan was pinned to the ground by a beam and when removed was evidently in great pain. Ho was taken to the Hospital, Mitchell was not seriously hurt, but it has since been discovered that Morgan’s hip was dislocated, but he is doing well.
