There is an endeavour among holders to raise the price of lamb, but as largo shipments are arriving and the weather lately has been very unfavourable to tho sale of lamb. There are no changes in prices to report. The beef market is firm. Hind quarters 3%d, fores Sj-Jd. The butter market is steady, and fair demand continues. The price of choicest Now Zealand is 995, Danish 109 s, Siberian 925.

The cheese market is quiet bui steady. White piauufacturo 61s ; coloured 60s.

The hemp market is firm, but ouly little business ; is doing. Good fair grade on spot £33, fair grade in same position £3O 10s, fair current Manila on spot £36. gTho cocksfoot market remains firm. Bright Now Zealand seed, 1 Tibs to bushel, 55s perewt.
