At a recent meeting of Petone Borough Council it was decided to delegate to Wellington Rugby Union power to warn a player off Petone Recreation ground on such days as the Union has use of the ground for matches. The player is tho person recently disqualified by the N.Z. Union in connection with tho formation of a professional football ■ team to visit England. At to-night’s meeting of the Council a letter was received from him stating that he was going to have this matter threshed out, aud asking for particulars of tho bylaw under which he was to bo excluded from Municipal reserves.
