THE KIA ORA DISASTER.

Eight Reported Missing. Per Press Association. Auckland, June 19. Inspector Cullen has received a telograni from Constable McCarthy, at Kawhia, in which the latter estimated that eight persons were drowned in the wrock of the Kia Ora. So far no bodies have been, recovered. It has been decided to hold an inquiry into the wreck of the Kia Ora at Auckland. It was thought at first that it would be hold in New Plymouth, but as most of the witnesses are here, it has been decided to hold it in Auckland. . The date when the inquest will be held has not yet been fixed.
