As some confusion is sure to exist in the names of '' The Midnight Wedding" and its equally successful predecessor " The Fatal Wedding," it should be understood that |the coming production of "The Midnight Wedding" at, the Opera House on Wednesday next, June 12th, is entirely different in theme, plot, and atmosphere from "Tho Fatal Wedding." Instinct With a charm of dramatic fervour, "The Midnight Wedding" is claimed to tell a story of romantic interest and military excitement. A Sydney paper thus refers to the first production in Sydney:— "The new play came quite as a revelation to tho public—a public who for twelve months had been used to seeing the sterling artists of the company in the purely melodramatic "Fatal Wedding." The presence of Mr Harcourt Betty is a surety of the excellence of the production. Mr Beatty will make his reapperaance after 18 months' absence in America.'' Particular interest naturally attaches to the appearance of this versatile actor, whose name is a household word throughout Australia. The run of '' The Midnight Wedding" is limited, as, in response to manv requests, the management will also stage the popular musical children's scene from "Tho Fatal Wedding,'' with the famous '' Tincan Band." The sale of seats for the production is going on at Mogridge's, and the season is limited to positively one night, only.
