The Arbitration Court's award in Gisborne slaughtermen's dispute provides for an' increase of wages for slaughtermen to 23s per hundred for freezing sheep and lambs, 20s for leg of mutton sheep, 18s for potters, 4d each-for rams, 2s for bullocks, Is for pig and present rates for calves. An eight-hour day is provided but employers have the right to call upon men to start at an earlier hour than six o'clock iu which case 6d shall be paid for each half hour worked before G a.m., in addition to piece work rate. - '
