PORT OF WELLINGTON.

Increased TradePress Association. Wellington, April 25. A summary of the working of the port of Wellington for the half-year ended March 31 shows that compared with the similar period of previous year there had been an increase of 359 in the number of vessels arriving and increased tonnage of 360,658. There was an increase for 12 months of outward foreign shipment of 17,343 tons and of colonial and coastal shipments of 9716 tons. The wool shipment increased by 2987 bales and hemp by 12,851 bales. The imports increased from 120,311 tons to 134,930 tons.
