11l tho'eourse of his address to the Congregational Union Dr. Goodman declared that the theory of the absolute inerrancy and infallibility of the Bible could no longer bo held. Inspiration must rest on the results of criticism. Congrogaionalists were indebted to historic theology but not bound by it.
