In returning thanks to the Marton electors last evening,* Mr Lyon, one of the successful candidates, referred to the fact that the electors -were that evening parting .with Mr Read as one of their Councillors. He thought acknowledgement should be made of the services that Mr Read had for nianv years willingly rendered to the Borough, the only return for which could be the thanks of the electors.
