FIRES.

A four-roomed house at Kensington, occupied by J. Hawkins, was burned down last night; A lighted candle had been left alongside the boy's head and presumably it overturned. The furniture was insured for £75 in the New Zealand. The house was owned by Mrs Ross and insured for £l3O in the National.
