ALLEGED MANSLAUGHTER.

Christchurch, April 20.
At the Magistrate’s Court this morning Edith M. Malyard was charged with the manslaughter of her child, Edith Mabel Malyard, by having caused its death by failing to give, it sufficient care, food, and attention. The charge arose out of the verdict of the jury at the inquest on Thursday. The accused was remanded to Friday next. The charges of drunkenness and breach of a prohibition order preferred against her were hold over for a week.
