I Dr Tittoni, Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Sir Arthur Hardinge have issued a communique stating that the private manner of King Edward’s meeting ; with King Emmanuel is fresh proof of the personal sentiment and affection uniting them. The meeting was not actuated by political aims, yet will pro> duce the best effect on the intimately cordial relations of Britain and Italy, The interview was a promise and guarantee of the peace of the whole world. Received April 21. 4.26 a.m. Rome, April 20., The newspaper Popolo Romano, published in Rome, states that Kings Edward and Emmanuel in the recent Interview discussed the question of limitation of armaments.
