MAUAWATU 'JIA COUNCIL SPECIAL ORDERS. Notice is hereby piven that at a special meeticg of tbo Manawtitu County Council, held at Sanson, on the 18th March, 1907, the following special orders were adopted : That in pursuance and exerciee of the powers vested in it in that behalf by " Vhe Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901," and by virtus of a warrant issued under the hand cf His Excellency the Governor, in terms of Sec- ! tion 118 of "The Public Work-? Act, I 1905," dated the 14th day of Decorni bar, 1906, the Manawaiu County : Council hereby resolves as follows : ! (1) That for the purpose of providing I iha interest and other charges on a ; loan of two thousand pounds sterling ; authorised "to be raisod by the Mana- ! watu County Council, under the I above-mentioned Acts, foe the purjpose of providing the Manawatu ! County Council's share of the cost of | constructing a bridge (including up- ! proacbes and protective works) over } the Manawatu Rive? near Shannon, ' known as the Shannon Bridge, She site of the said bridge approaches and protective works being more particularly delined on tbe plan marked " R 2749 " deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, Wellington, in tbo Wellington Laud District, and thereon shown in ted colour, such loan to ba at four };er centum per annum for a period of forty-one years, the said Manawatu County Council hereby makes and levies a Speoial Rate of one-axtieth. ot a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within tbe boundaries of the Maaawatu County, and that such Special Bate shall be an annual recurring rato during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and fevery year during the currency of sach loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Tnat in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by ■" The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901," the Matsawatu County Council hereby resolves a 3 follows: " That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of five hundred pounds sterling authorised to be raised by the Manawatu County Council under the above-mentioned Ac*, for the purpose of constructing the Koputaru Road, euch loan to bo at 4 per centum per annum for a period of forty-one years, the taid Manawatu County Council hereby makes and levies a Special Bate of seven-twelfths of a penny m the pound upon the rateable value ef all rateable property of the Koputaru Road Special Rating District, comprising the following Sections —lB, 18a, 19, 19a, 20, 22 and 28 of the Oroua Downs Estate, Blook XIII, TeKawau Survey District, and that such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in eaoh and every year during the currency of such loan, a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. (8.) That the Manawatu County Council hereby declares that the undermentioned plants inoluded in the seoond eohedulo of "The Noxiouß Weeds Act, 1900," shall be deemed to be noxious weeds within its jurisdiction ; .
