Despite efforts to economise the Karori-reservoir supply was reduced by 13 inches in two days, nine inches being used. in the last 24 hours. Tho engineer considers this an evidence of tho waste and supply will have to be cut off and turned on only at stated periods if it'eontihues. The work of repairing the main supply is being pushed on. The light rain falling should assist to maintain" supplies at Karori.
