Decided to apply again, forwarding further particulars. —Asking for further information ro application for grant for Siniatangi.—lntimating that tho Audit Department had ruled that the terms of the ordinary vote for school buildings forbade tho expenditure of any part of tho fund upon new buildings. Resolved to write to Department pointing out ago of residence and the impossibility of repairing it and applying for house allowance. Measles.—From Hawera and Tokorangi Committees, notifying the closing of schools on account of measles.

Terraco End.—From committee protesting against the cancellation of the privilege of franking correspondence and applying for grant for cupboard.—Copy of resolution to bo sent to Minister of Education. Mr Bennett to report ro cupboard. Palmerston North.—From the Town' Clerk, ro connecting Campboll Street school with the drainage system.—To apply to Department for a grant. Rougotoa.—From teacher, applying for new range.—Granted. Campbell Street.—Applying for grant for improvements to grounds. The committee to bo informed that the Board lias no funds for the purpose. Tiritoa.—Applying for grant for shelter shed for girls. Committee to bo asked to supply an estimate of tho cost. Taoroa.— Resolved that tho_ question of purchasing site for residence bo left in tho hands of the chairman.

Winter Show —From Secretary notifying that the Association laid decided to continue the facilities for the free admission of children of country schools to tho Winter Show. Foxtou.—From commiteo re repairs and requisites. Mr Fraser to report. Ji.Martou. —From J. J. McDonald, ro Seddou memorial, expressing regret and disappointment at tho movement not having been energetically engineered from the centre, and stating that they were at a loss to know what- to do with the money collected locally,— Referred to Mr Purnell.— Prom Committee re grant for bicycle shelter.—Board has no money for the purpose. From teacher ro closing chool.—Not agreed to. Tenders for supply of woodwork and fittings of desks were considered and that of Mr G. H. Anderson, of Wanganui, was accepted, his price being 5s 10d per desk.—lt was resolved to authorise Mr Andrews, woodwork instructor, who is about to visit the Old Country, to spend about £25 in tho purchase of tools and appliances required for woodwork instruction.
