The finals for the Club Championship were play: 1 off on Wei ne id ay afternoon before a large gathering of interested spectabrs. .In the ladies' match Miss Jephson beat Mrs F'bott four up and tbri3 to play, while the men's match resisted in a win for Mr Ellioii; who beat Mr E. W. Webb. The play was not of a vory high order—not nearly so exciting a match as the semi final on the previous Monday when Mr Crawford and Mr E liott were " all equara " at the 18th hole and the latter scored at the 19th.
