FOOTBALLERS' SOCIAL A highly successful social aud dance, held under the auspices of the Taakau Football Club, eventuated in the PublicJHall on Wednesday night, when there was a very large attendance. The hall was tastefully dc?orated with flags aud colours of the Club, while a banner, presented to the Club by Mr Fitzpa'ifick, hung over the centre of the stage. On the whole the decorations presented a unique specte?le, thanks to the energetic committej, wLo also ha i elaborate arrangements complete. Dancing formed rthe chief feature of the enteitaiument, the floor being in excellent condition. Danes music was rendered by M'ss M Geraghly, extras being contributed by Mines Strahan, Dickens Mrs Fitzpatilok and Mr C Ryder. Mr S CjnneHy discharged the duties of M C in his usual capab'e manner. During the evening, vocal items, rendered by Mesdames L. B. Tapper, and W Taylor of Tuakau, Messrs L B Wilson, W. Jones, and A. A deputation representing the R.S.A. ball committee solicited the support end assistance of the ladie3 to superintend the supper. The President of the Ladies' League, Mrs Hunter, assured them that the ladies would do all in their pewer to assist.
