TUAKAU
The annual Vestry meeting was held at St. John's Church, on Monday, Aprl 8, the Rev L. Foulkes being in the chair. Mr F. Lawson read the minutes of the previous meeting, after which followed the usual balance sheet. This year the accounts showed considerable improvement both in subscriptions and collections and after all expenses were paid the balance of £34 lis was carried forward which must give pleasure to all connected with St. John's. The Chairman thanked the retiring wardens and other officers of the church for their kind help during the year and asked his warden, Mr F. Lawson, to kindly serve another year. The people's warden, Mr W. Feather, was also re-elected and Mr Durran was invited to accept a seat on the vestry. A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr Roberts and the ladies for their kind help which had been so willingly giveu during the year. The meeting closed with the Benediction.
