BOMBAY

BOMBAY PATRIOTIC BAZAAR TO THE EDITOR Sir—ln your account of the bazaar of last month you omitted to make reference to the tea rooms which were carried on by Mesdames Mathie and Common and Miss Masfield, all of whom worked very hard; and I would like you also to mention j Miss Cole Baker, who was most energetic among the ladies for weeks before the bazaar. Yours, etc., R DONOVAN. At a meeting of the Bombay Patriotic Committee, held on Saturday last, the financial statement of the bazaar was received and was adopted, being considered highly satisfactory. The receipts had totalled £270 10s lOd and the expenses £3B 16s 6d, leaving a balance to be sent to the Red Cross Society of £231 14s 4d. Votes of thanks were passed to the Chairman (Mr J. A Lowry), to the Hon. Secy. (Mr A. Best), to the Ladies' Committee, and to the ladies who had charge of the tea rooms. A motion of sympathy with the relative of the late Mrs Shanahan, who held the post of ladies' treasurer was carried, those present at the meeting standing in silence.
