Mr V L. Lichfield, who was found in an unconscious condition on the Waiau road last week, has had rather a had time. He was sull'ering from concussion of the bnlin for some days and was attended by I>r lironte. lin glad to say be is now well on to re : covery, but it is not yet clear how the accident occurred. It is evident he got a very bad fall from his horse in some maimer Friends will be sorry to lieai that our local blacksmith, Mr W G Ploydell, is laid up with a very severe attack of bronchitis Ills condition, though not really serious, needs very careful a'tentioii. All wioh him a speedy recovery.
