RUGBY FOOTBALL
UNITED CLUB Annual General Meeting There was an attendance of 26 at the annual meeting of the United Football Club, held last week. Election of Officers Officers elected for the season were: Patron, Mr. H. L. Martin; president, Mr. H. Morris; vice-pre-sidents-, Messrs. P. Lees, W. Lewis; secretary-treasurer, Mr. G. L. Ohlson; management committee, Messrs G. McCurran, F. Pickerang, H. Berg, R. Tait, G. Hampton, C. Dufty, N. Forrester; delegates to Rugby. Union, Messrs. H. M. Tuck, Humphries, A. S. Dalton, F. Pickerang. Other club officials elected were: Coaches, Messrs. Jim Smith, A. S, Dalton; junior team manager, Mr. C. Dufty; senior team manager, Mr. Lewis; club captain, Mr. H. Berg; senior line umpire, Mr. P. Lees; selectors, it was: decided that the selectors would consist of the team manager, coach and team captain. Sunday Football On the motion of Mr. H. Berg it was decided that delegates to the Rugby Union protest strongly against Sunday football.
