Fawsett, who sang “I’ll Walk Beside you.’’ The bride, who was given away by he.r father, was charmingly attired in a slim fitting princess frock of lace with deep godets of brocade Satin forming a long train. The deep V neck was trimmed with made satin flowers, and the .back with tiny loops and buttons. The long fitting sleeves were of lace with a point over the hand. Her embroidered tulle veil was lent by a friend, and was held in place with orange blossom. ■ She wore a triple string a pearls and carried a shower bouquet of white chrysanthemums. The four maids in attendance were Misses Beverley Plummer, Patetonga, Ruby West, T.aumarunui, Gladys Hemmingway, Matamata, and Jaqueline, only sister of the bride, and were fro deed in white velvet, bodices with lantern sleeves and heart-shaped necks and full peplvtms, with bouffant skirts of net appliqued in velvet. They wore tiny hats of frilled net, and golden flowers in their hair. Their bouquets were of golden chrysanthemums, while each wore a string of pearls, gifts from the bridegroom. Attending the bridegroom was Mr. Laurie Moore as best man, and Messrs. Selwyn "Adams, Bob Waller and Peter Rix as groomsmen. Mr. L. Reid, of Hamilton, and Mr. David Sander, of Walton, both cousins of the bride, were ushers. The reception was held in Burmesters’ reception rooms, where 135 guests l were received by the parents of both the bride and groom. . Some of the guests came from as far north as Whangarei and Auckland and as far south as Wanganui and Taranaki. A thoughtful gesture of the bride was to ask to be driven to the cemetery where she laid her bouquet on the grave of her only brother—the late Noel (Snowy) O'Keefe, an old boy of Matamata College, and a well-known third grade representative fullback.
