RACING AT WAIPA Owing to the exceptional number otf acceptances an extra race has been provided' for at the Waipa Racing Club’® meeting on Saturday next. Divisions will be necessary in these and also in the Kihikihi Handicap. He has had eight start® with two horses, Valpeen and Surpeen, for two wins, two seconds, one third and a fourth. Gordon still has another from the same mare, a gelding by Jay. The dam of the trio is recorded as unknown, but it is generally believed she was a Spalpeen mare which was once impounded. AN ELLERSLIE RECORD A perusal of the performances of Valpeen and Surpeen at Ellerslie point to a record "which it might be very hard to beat by either professional or owner-trainers. Mr. Campbell has won no less than nine steeplechases at Ellerslie with the two horses, seven by Valpeen and two by Surpeen. Surpeen is to race at Waipa on Saturday 1 *
