CLEARING SALES
CLEARING SALE AT TIRAUt Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., held a highly successful clearing sale on behalf of Mr. W. A. Clarke, Tirau, when his herd of AyrshireJcrsey cross cows was dispersed. With buyers from as far afield as Waitoa, Cambridge and Tokoroa ft total clearance resulted in an average cf £l4 per head for 77 Cow'S. The cows, mostly young, were presented in. excellent order, together with full test and service detaifc. Bidding was spirited and very even throughout, the top price being 10s. The two-year in-calf heifers, well into the Ayrshire, made £lO, While the yearlings realised £4 15s. Furniture and sundries sold at late rates.
