CLEARING SALE AT HINUERA
The Farmers! Auctioneering Company held a most successful clearing sale on account of Mr. J. Beeby, of Hinuera. The herd was offered in good' condition and most cows were showing well forward in calf. Bidding was keen and the whole herd of sound cows averaged £l3 2s 6d. The in-calf heifers were also an attractive line and these also sold freely at satisfactory prices. Realisations were: Choice young Jersey cows, July calvers, £ls to £l7 ss; good Jersey cows, August calvers, £l3 to £l4 10s; older and later calvers, £lO lOs to £l2 10s; good 2-year Jersey heifers. £l3 103 to £ls 10s; other 2-year heifers, £ll to £l2 10s.
