TOTAL NOW £36,843,272 Over £1,000,000 For April Rehabilitation loans to the value of £1,131,626 were authorised ‘during April, as compared with £1,342,-. 175 during previous month of March. The April authorisation brings the current total up to £38,843,272. The items in this total are given as follows: For the purchase or establishment of firms, £14,500.650; for the purchase of homes, £9,235,905; ' for the erection of homes, £8,360,021; for the purchase .or establishment o-f businesses, £2,718,581; interest free furniture loans, £1,941,822; interest free tools of trade loans, £33,790; and miscellaneous purposes, £52,503.. April authorisations under these headings follow with those for March given in parentheses fcir comparison: Farming, £460,430 (£558,323); purchase of homes, £237,481 (£316,678); erection of homes,. £310,900 (£234,890); businesses, £64,740 (£83,528)7 furniture, £57,520 (£57,331); tools of trade, £385 (£250); miscellaneous. £l7O (£1175).
