TOKOROA W.D.F.F.

SIXTEENTH BIRTHDAY The Tokoroa branch of the W.D. F.F. celebrated its sixteenth birthday with a garden party held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. Ashworth. The president, Mrs. A. Honeybun, welcomed visitors from Ithe Putaruru W-D.'F.F. , and Women’s Institute. Apologies were received from the Tirau W.D.F.F., the Lichfield Women’s Institute, Mrs. Campbell, Mrs. Newell. Mrs. West, Mrs. Kendall, Mrs. Mossop, Mrs. Dickenson and Mrs. Rushibatch. A pleasant afternoon was spent in playing games and competitions, the following being the winners: Treasure hunt, Mrs. L. Turner; bowls. Mrs. D. Thorbum; crochet. Mrs. N. Spraggom; golf, Mrs. E. Goodrick. During the serving of an enjoyable afternoon tea by the ladies of the committee, the president was presented with a birthday cake donated' by division members. The candles were lit by Mrs. Ashworth and Mrs. Flavell, and extinguished by Mrs. Honeybun. Each of the ladies was presented with a spray. Birthday greetings and good wishes were tendered by Mrs. bithgow for the Puitaruru W.D.F.F., and Mrs. R. Stewart for the Putaruru W.I. Mrs. Honeybun closed the afternoon by replying to the greetingsl and thanking Mr. and Mrs. L. Ashworth for their kindness in offering their home for such a delightful' afternoon.
