PLUNKET SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING The Putaruru Plunket Society held its annual meeting in the WD. F.U. IJoomc recently. There was a good attendance of members. v In the election of officers, -Mrs.- J. Campbell was unanimously re-elect-ed to the chair, and Mrs. I. Bcrtaut was appointed secretaryJjfcreasura-* The preoident reported that last year had been one of strenuous act-' ivity, which had improved the financial position of the society. This was most gratifying in view of the fact that in the not too far distant future, when the present scarcity of nuivies is relieved, the society intends forming a branch of its own, and looks forward to the continued support of the public in its efforts to help mothers and babies. The Plunket Nurse reported a large increase in the numbers of mothers and babies in the society, in spite of the limited and inadequate time she has in Putaruru.
