FIRST PUTARURU TROOP On Friday evening the usual meeting was held in the Scout HallOn Saturday the Scouts are to canvass householders for rags and bottles. The proceeds from this collection will further the Scout Building Funds.

During Saturday afternoon the Mercury Messengers acted as patients and stretcher-bearers for the Nursing Division of the St. John Ambulance. The Nursing Division was under the direction of Mrs. C. Walsh with Mrs. A. L. Mason and Mrs. E. Nicklin as instructors.

It is hoped that during Scout Week, which ,is to be held throughout New Zealand during February, 1943. the Scouts of Putaruru will once again present a Scout show. A similar show was held in 1938, and proved an outstanding success.
