The New Zealand Meat Producers Boarid has received the, following cable from its London office, dated March 2:— New Zealand Sheep.—Canterbury and North Island selected crossbred wethers and maiden ewes : 481 b to 561 b 5Sd, 571 b to 641 b sgd, 651 b to 721 b sid. .North Island crossbred wethers and maiden ewes: 481 b to 561 b s!d, 571 b to 641 b sgd, 651 b to 721 b sid. Ewes: 481 b and under 4gd, 481 b to 641 b 4ld, 651 b to 721 b 31d. New Zealand Lamb (new season’s). —Selected North Island brands: 361 b and udder 6gd, 371 b to 421 b 63d; second quality, average 321 b, 6gd. Other North Island brands : First quality, 361 b and under 63d, 371 b to 421 b 6gd; ■ second quality, average 321 b, 6id. New Zealand Beef.—rOx fores 2id, or hinds 3gd.
New Zealand Prime Porker Pigs.— 601 b to 801 b 53d, 811 b to 1001 b sld, 1011 b to 1201 b 53d. N.Z. Baconer Pigs.—l2olb to 1601 b, 6d.
Mutton Market. Wethers and ewes remain very firm owing to continued short spot stocks. Beef Market.—Slightly < easier. Demand checked by low prices of Argentine chilled beef. New Zealand Porker Pigs.—Prices slightly easier owing to large supplies from the United States of Amerioa.
New Zealand Baconer Pigs.—Market steady, with fair trade.
