“It seems that we need more good looking men,” remarked a member at the annual meeting of the Matamata Tennis Club, when referring to the drop in ladies’ subscriptions. “ X am glad you said more,” commented another member facetiously. Three members of the Tariff Commission, Dr. G. Craig, Mr. J. B. Gow and Mr. G. A. Pascoe, were conducted over the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Company’s factory at Waitoa last Friday by Messrs. W, Goodfellow, Dynes Fulton, C. J 1 Parlane and W. Y. Kirkman. The visitors spoke very highly of the efficiency of all departments of the factory, particularly the dried and condensed milk departments.
