Putaruru. Mrs. E. H. Atkey spent several Jk days in Hamilton last week as the guest of Mrs. A. English. The Putaruru friends of Mrs. A. L. Mason regretted to learn of the death of her mother, Mrs. Babbage, which occurred unexpectedly at Auckland. Captain the Rev. H. C. Fussell spent a few days in Putaruru this week as the guest of the Rev. E. H. Atkey and Mrs. Atkey. Inspector Cummings, of Napier, has been on a visit to Putaruru for several days. Inspector Cummings some years ago was senior-sergeant at Rotorua, Matamata. Miss G. Heerdegen, of Matamata, is spending a holiday in Taupiri. Miss Joan Banks, who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nelsdn Banks, of Matamata, has left for Wellington, where she is spending a week’s holiday before returning to the Chateau, National Park. Mrs. McGinnell, of Frankton Junction, and Miss Peat, of Auckland, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Coulter, of Matamata. Miss Ina Stanley, of Katikati, is the guest of her aunt, Miss May Stanley, of Waharoa road, Matamata. Miss G. Vosper, of Hinuera road, Matamata, has returned from a holiday spent in Rotorua. Miss M. Ormsby, of Te Kuiti, is holidaying in Matamata, and is the guest of Miss E. Goodwin, Matamata. i Morrinsville. Miss R. Wilson spent the week-end at Auckland. Mrs. I. Hines has left for Te Aroha. Miss.lngram, of Auckland, is staying with Mrs. W. Hartley. Mrs. C. Dickinson has returned from a visit to the Waitakere ranges. Miss M. Hopwood, of Auckland, is staying with Miss A. Humphreys, of Alexandra avenue. Mrs. C. Campbell, of Rotorua, spent the week-end with Miss T. Hewitt, Allen street. Miss E. Roe, of Auckland, paid a short visit to Mrs. L. E. Pole, Studholme street. Mrs. I. Knox, of Auckland, paid a short visit to Mrs. S. Parlour, Studholme street. Miss Walters, of Wellington, is staying at the Nottingham Castle Hotel. Miss Verner, of Te Awamutu, is a visitor to Morrinsville as the guest of her sister, Mrs. R. J. Mulcahy, Mangateparu.
