EARING THE CENTURY.
MR. P. DELANEY. Mr. P. Delaney, of Matamata, celebrated his ninety-eighth birthday this week. Mr. Delaney still has the use of all his faculties and is still able to read the newspaper and novels. The old gentleman still attends church regularly each Sunday. Mr. Delaney, who is an Indian Mutiny veteran, was married in Onehunga 63 years ago.
