PUTARURU A v. MOKAI A. The above game was played on Saturday, at Putaruru, and a most enjoyable match ended in a narrow victory for the home team. Details are as follow, the Putaruru players being mentioned first • in each instance:— Men’s Singles: Thompson beat Spencer 9—o, Sole beat Pretty 9—B, Turner beat Gamble 9—6, Gasparich lost to Hika Hemapo 5—9, Peters lost to Hamilton 6 —9, Jones beat Osborne 9—B. Men’s Doubles: Thompson and Turner beat Spencer and Hika 9—3, Sole and Gasparich lost to Gamble and Pretty 6—9, Peters and Jones lost to Hamilton and Osborne B—9.
