School Entertainment.

The entertainment given on Friday night by the scholars attending the Pahiatua school passed off in a most successful manner, and reflects great credit on the whole of the teachers. We do not say the scholars were perfect in all they did, but any little defects will no doubt be remedied on tlie next occasion they appear before the public. The singing was under the management of Miss Falla, and she was amply rewarded for the pains she had taken by the loud applause that followed each piece sung by the scholars. Mrs Yeats is entitled to a word of praise for the excellent manner in which the girls went through the French bar and calesthenic ring exercises. The several recitations were very well given. There was a good attendance, over £8 being taken, which will be a great help to the School Committee in their straightened circumstances. PRIZE DISTRIBUTION. After the entertainment Mr J.
