On the rural sections 15 selectors have failed to make any improvements, 15 on town sections, and 9 on suburbun sections. The block comprises 5337 acres, and the land lias been allotted exactly two years last month, so that the improvements cannot be looked upon as thoroughly satisfactory from a settlement point of view ; but it must not be forgotten that the greater portion of i the rural land is very hilly country, ' w ith no means of access, therefore some ; excuse id to be found for the selectors* The rural sections range from 89 to ! 112 acres, or 5080$ in all; the subur- ! ban from 2 to 5 acres, or 2064 acres in all; the town sections contain 1 acre ►earn, or 50 acres in all.
