POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANKS. The following are the regulations for tho above Bunk :

1. Interest at the rate of 4j per eent. per nnniim is given on L2OO and under; at the rate of 4 per eent. per annum on sums under LG00; ami in tile same proportion for any shorter time on every complete LI deposited, provided that no interest he allowed on more than I. r 'lSI

2. Depositors in the Post Cilice Savings Banks have direct Government security for the prompt payment of their money. 8. A depositor in anv one of the Post oflice Banks may continue his deposit in any other of such Banks, and exn withdraw his money at that Post-office Bank which is most convenience to him.

4. The strictest secrecy is observed with respect to the Names of the Depositors in Post-office Banks, and the amounts ot their deposits. f>. Money may he deposited bv or on behalf of minors. Depositors over seven years of age are treated as persons of full age, but minors under seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until they have reached the age of seven. G. Applications to the Chief Offices in each Province on the business of Postoffice Savings Banks, and the replies sent thereto are free from charge or postage.
