Father Stephens, charged with participating iu a riot aud inciting thereto, has Ihnmi arrested at Galcarran, where an immense crowd of anned peasant* congregated to prevent the arrest of the reverend gentleman. Father Stephens, however. d«»sired Ins sympathisers to make no resistance to tho law, and his arrest was affected without rioting. Father M'Fadden was sentenced to three mouths' imprisonment for making a speech at Gweodoro, County Donegal, in support of the “ plan of campaign.”

January 31. Father Kennedy and eight oilier persons have been summoned for participating in n Land League meeting on lleoetuWr 18, after it had bueu proclaimed.

Mr Henry J. Gill, M.P. for Limerick, has resigned his seat in the House of Commons. Eleven irishmen have been imprisoned for terms varying from one to three months for participating iu unlawful assemblies.

Am tlicr outrage has occurred at Tralee. A farmer who had been boycotted, and was under police protection, 1 as been found brutally murdered. Di-run. February 1.

Mr C. Alex. Blaine, M.P. for South Armagh, has Wen convicted on the charge of speaking in support of tho plan of campaign at Gwcdoro, County Donegal, and a sentence of four mouths was imposed. The decision has been appealed against.
