KSOINBER. The following applications were received for the position of Engineer to the Board : E. J. Armstrong, Palmerston North. C. E. O. Smith, Napier. J. W. Beaufort, Palu&tua. It. B. Harper, Wellington. John 11. Berbam, Wellington. G. Whitcombe, Pahiatua. Proposed by Mr Corbett, seconded by Mr Miller, that Mr Whitcombe be appointed. Proposed by Mr Wakeman, seeoned by Mr Crewe, that Mr Beaufort he appointed. The latter proposition was carried. Ayes—Wakeman, Crewe, and Gregg. Noes—Miller and Corbett. NOTICE OF MOTION. Mr Miller to move at next meeting. That the engineer be empowered to erect a log bridge over creek on Baucke's Load ; and two on creeks on Middle ltoad, to give access to Messrs Wiles and Morgan Village Settlement; and one on Tiraumea North Load to give access to Mr Alexanders section. Village Settlement.
