SECOND BY-ELECTION.
ME EEADE ELECTED.
The by-election to fill the vacancy caused on the Town Board by the retirement of Mr Orsman took place in Havelock yesterday and resulted in a win for Mr A. B. Eeade, who polled 48 votes against Mr A.* Scott 41, and Mr Dance 25, there being only one informal vote.
Hardly as much interest was evinced in this election as in the last one, the total number of votes recorded being 115, as against the previous total of 126. This election will now give the Town Board a full board for to-morrow (Wednesday's) meeting, when it is anticipated that some finality will be reached regarding the electric lighting scheme.
