THE LIBERTY WAR LOAN.

Sir Joseph Ward, in his address to the Commercial Travellers' Association (Wellington) regarding the War Loan, emphasised the necessity of help from everyone, and said that no amount was too small to assist in winning the war. The “commercials” have taken full note of this, (reports the “Times”) and with characteristic originality have formulated a scheme whereby every child in the Dominion can assist by purchasing with their pence stamps which can be attached to cards and utilised towards the purchase of War Loan Certificates. The scheme has been submitted to Sir Joseph Ward for his approval. It is proposed to ask the various school committees and headmasters to allow speakers to explain the scheme to the school children, from whom there is sure to be a hearty response. The joy in future yea‘rs to these children in having contributed their pennies towards winning the war can easily be imagined.
