“THE SOUL MARKET.”

To-morrow (Saturday) at the Town Hall, Havelock, another excellent ‘Metro’ programme will be screened, including a five-part drama entitled “The Soul Market,” in which the exquisite emotional actress Madame Petrova is seen in one of her best creations. The ideal of ‘Metro’ is to be on top of the Picture-tree,'and “The Soul Market” certainly leaves little to be desired in the beautiful setting and dresses and superb acting which characterises the production. Elaine Elton, a musical comedy prima donna, at the height of her success, becomes weary of her environment. Around her she sees young girls ever bartering their beauty and innocence for luxury and fine clothes, and to her it seems a veritable-soul market. Of course there is the usual love story interwoven throughout the five acts which ends happily for the parties concerned, but before that time arrives many obstacles and misunderstandings have to be removed. Amongst the supporting subjects billed for to-morrow night we notice a 1000 ft scenic ‘travelog,’ What London Saw (cartoon), and a Drew comedy entitled “Gravy.” ,
