EFFECTIVE BOMB DROPPING,

LONDON, March 20. In the House of Commons Mr J. I. Maepherson, Parliamentary Secretary of the War Office, said that 153 flights had recently been carried out in Germany, only ten machines being lost. Over a ton of bombs was dropped on Mannheim, there being eight direct hits on large works, on the 18th inst. We had carried cut 38 effective raids since October, dropping 48 tons of bombs The Air Service was increasing the distance of its raids, in striking contrast to the enemy’s air actiyitv.
