WELCOME HOME.
There was a very large attendance at the reception to returned soldiers (postponed from Tuesday evening) hold m the Town Hall last evening. Mr W. H. Smith occupied the chair, and the usual speeches of welcome were given by local speakers. A lengthy programme of musical items was rendered during the evening, after which supper was handed round. Amongst those present were a number of visitors from Deep Creek, Canvastown, and other out districts.
