Advices received by an Allied Embassy state that representatives of Austria, Turkey, and Bulgaria approached an American envoy at Berne and endeavoured to open unofficial negotiations for peace. The suggested terms included Turkey's and Bulgaria’s endorsement of the no annexations doctrine. The move is certain to be ignored. Ludendorff, recently interviewed by the Cologne “ Yolkszeitung,” said:— “Our West front is much more favourable than in 1917. We are now much stronger than the enemy in men and material. Wo have an abundance of aircraft and tanks. If the enemy wish to attack let them. They will find us ready. If the enemy do not want peace they must fight, and it will be the most tremendous fight of the whole war. With God's aid we shall obtaii a German peace.” When “TAN-OL” comes in, dullness goes out.
