WELLINGTON MARKET REPORT.

Messrs Townsend & Paul, Ltd., have pleasure in reporting an exceptionally keen demand for all dressed pork and poultry, and recommend consignments promptly. Tho following prices are ruling:—

Dressed Pork.—so’s to 80’s prime 7id to BJd per lb.; 60’s to 80’s medium 7d to 7-}d per lb.; 80's to 100’s prime 6Jd to 7Jd per lb.; 90’s to 100’s medium Cd to 6Jd per lb.; 100’s to 120’s prime s}d to 6d per lb.; 100’s to 120’s medium 5d to 6d per lb.; slips 6Jd to 7Jd per lb.; Bacon pigs 5Jd to 6}d per lb. as per quality. Choppers 4d to 4Jd per lb. as per quality. Suckers lOd to Is per lb. as per quality. If possible ship dressed pork to arrive in Wellington Thursdays or Fridays, the butchers here prefer pork at the end of the week.

Turkeys, hens Is, gobblers Is- 2d per lb. dead weight, fowls 4s to 4s 6d -per pair, ducks 6s to 7s per pair. Young ducks (largo) 7s to 8s per pair Fungus sid per lb. Walnuts lid to Is per lb.
