ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 27. At the Addington yards the entry of store sheep was a good one, including linos from Nelson. The demand was keen right through the sale for anything good. The range of prices was: Store Sheep.—2-tooth ewes 22s 9d to 345, 4 and 6-tooth ewes 36s 3d, 6 and 8tooth ewes to 33s lOd, s.m. ewes to 33s 9d, 2-tooth wethers to 26s 6d, 4 and 6tooth wethers to 31s 2d, 6 and 8-tooth wothers to 30s 6d, rape lambs 20s to 25s Bd, medium 18s Id to 19s lOd, lighter and cull to 17s,

There wore 3039 fat lambs yarded, as compared with 2210 last week. Prices remained on par with the previous sale. Range of prices: Extra prime to 34s 2d, prime 26s Id to 29s lOd lighter 22s 8d to 265. Fat Sheep.—Approximately same number entered as last week, and there was little recordable difference in values. Ewes were slightly cheaper. Range of prices: Extra prime wethers to 40s, prime wethers 34s to 38s Bd, lighter 29s to 33s 3d, merino wethers 19s to 22s 6d, extra prime ewes 32s 3d to 33s 7d, medium 27s lOd to 30s 9d, lighter 24s to 275.

Fat Cattle.—The yarding was rather smaller. There was a large proportion of cow beef. The quality was fair all through. Range of prices: Extra prime steers to £22 17s 6d, prime steers £lB to £l9, ordinary steers £ll 18s 6d to £l6 10s, prime heifers £ll 5s to £ls 12s 6d, ordinary £9 to £ll, prime cows £l2 10s to £l7 2s 6d, ordinary £9 to £l2. There was a very keen sale of vealers, and the market was swept of larger sorts. Prices: Runners £2 10s, good vealers £3 2s 6d to £5 10s, fair £2 6s to £2 Bs, small and inferior 7s to 38s. Store Cattle.—Prices remained unchanged. There was a large entry of dairy cows of uneven quality. A few extra good sorts brought £l7, moderate £7 10s to £9 10s, inferior £5 12s 6d to, £B.

There was a small entry of store pigs. There was a good demand for best sorts at 55s to 69s 6d, medium 45s to 545, small 28s to 40s, weaners 22s to 275.

There was a medium entry of fat pigs, and the Government's bacon price regulations quietened the demand. Choppers £4 -10 sto £6, extra heavy baconers £5 5s to £5 12s, heavy baconers £5 10s, light baconers £3 15s to £4 10s—equal to 8d per lb; heavy porkers 57s 6d to 70s, lighter 50s to 55s—equal to BJd to 9d per lb.
