BUTTER AND CHEESE MARKET
HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLED MARKET REPORT. The Department of Agriculture,_ Industries, and Commerce had received the following cablegram, dated London 9th Juno, 1917, from the High Commissioner for' New Zealand. (NOTE: Quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average market prices on spot.) Following maximum prices fixed during the next two weeks for salted and unsalted butter. New Zealand, salted, 200 s; Australian, salted, 1945; Irish Creamery, salted, 1965; Argentine, salted, 190 s; Danish, salted, 2135. Cheese no maximum prices fixed with the exception of English Choddar, 140 s. Butter market continues dull, prices are weaker. Danish, salted, 200 s to 2025; New Zealand, salted, 186 s 9d to 188 s; unsalted, 188 sto 190 s; Australian, salted, 180 sto 186 s; unsalted, 182 s to 190 s; Argentine, salted, ISO; unsalted, 180 s to 182 s; Irish, creamery, 186 sto 190 s.
