He was an American boy in London, and his governess had difficulty in checking peculiarities of speech acquired in -his native land, one of which was a failing to pronounce the final "g.” At Christmas he exclaimed «* "What a good time I am havin'.” "You are forgetting the ‘g’ again, Johnny,” said his teacher. “Am I? Oh, yes !” Then his face 'brightened, and he exclaimed with loud confidence, "Gee ! What a good time I am havin’ !”
