SUPPLIES SECURED FROM AUSTRALIA.

MELBOURNE, May 16,

Mr MacDonald’s mission to buy wheat to meet the New Zealand shortage has been successful. Mr Hughes announced the sale of one and a half million bushels, with the option of a further million, at 5s 6d not, f.o.b. The New Zealand Government undertakes to provide shiping and to pay for tho wheat whether it is delivered by the end of August or not.
